At It Again

Guess who is at it again? Well it is Rush Limbaugh! I know I should not be giving him any of my attention but it is something to me on how he just keep getting away with statements he makes. How unfair and bias is that? He makes derogatory statements and still gets a job. I am sure we all can name someone who made derogatory statements to never be seen or heard from again. When Rush does it he just get another job and more popularity.
This is a man with a high school education. He has the most listened to radio talk show. He is nationally broadcast on 600 plus radio stations. He markets himself as being an educated man who reads books and articles. I guess this means a lot of people are educated. The only thing I learned from him is how a high school education can sometimes be all you need. I also learned a lot of us need to make sure we go to college to achieve a higher level of education.  I wish I had the gift of gab to be heartless, uncaring and bias to run my mouth off and get paid for it.
This man has called someone a slut because he disagrees with how the young lady feels. It seems like everyone has forgotten and forgave him for the racial statements he made on his own television talk show and on ESPN. He is part of the problem we have here in America. We have too many people who are bias, they can say what they want but everyone else should be punished some kind of way for expressing their views. In the article about Rush making the bad statements states how he has lost some sponsorship ads. In the same article there was a sponsor who said they will continue to run their ads on his shows because his views do not represent them. How hypocritical people are. Rush would be the first to call for someone to be crucified for making the same if not similar statements and they should be removed from the air and lose all sponsorship. It is funny when he does it and portray himself like it not a bad thing because of 1st amendment rights.
Now I will say we have become a very sensitive society. I also will agree that some statements are disrespectful.  My feeling on this is how he can continuously get away with making his statements and so many people get fired and pushed to the side. If others are forced to issue public apologies or forever be silent. So should Rush! In a separate article, Obama has reached out to the young lady to let her know he disagrees with Rush statement and how unprofessional of Rush. It would be nice to see Rush removed from radio completely, no publishing of his off the wall books and absolutely no interviews. It would be nice to not have such a rude, egotistical, low educated, loud mouth and shameful person silenced so people can start thinking for themselves and using their own minds.

  1. I think the reason he gets away with what he does is because it is that specific behavior that created his following. It is a sad thought that that many Americans think he is so fantastic. Others who make brash statements and are held accountable typically do not cater to that kind of audience and so the media outlet that is backing them is forced to take action. With Rush Limbaugh, the media outlet is expecting this behavior and is probably even hoping for it because, unfortunately it seems to drive ratings.
